Originally from Mexico City, Marco grew up in a family that has been active in the travel business for three generations. Throughout his own 25-year career in the travel industry, Marco has served as a tour guide, travel agent, hotel concierge, even as the Director of Sales for a major airline. Nearly 20 years ago, he launched the marketing and public relations company, Travel Pie – which has helped position important destinations and travel products in the international market.
Mr. Aguilar has been a long-time contributor to travel magazines and has served on the editorial advisory boards of major newspapers and magazines, in his native Mexico, for travel-related content. He has appeared in is a popular guest on radio talk shows, including SiriusXM.
He is also the author of the upcoming book, The Power of Vacation, which challenges current business practices related to time-off and gives readers a new vision for their career and life: one that combines meaningful employment, purpose-driven travel, and an inspired lifestyle.
